Dr. Antonio A. Bencomo-Hernández is BSc in Biological Science at the University of Havana (1983), PhD of Health Science at The Institute of Medical Science of Havana (2005). Professor of Hematology and transfusion at The Institute of Medical Science of Havana (2018-2010) and Senior Investigator at The Institute of Hematology and Immunology (IHI), Havana/Cuba (2018-1998). Past President of the Cuban Society of Hematology: 2018-2013. Member of editorial board of the Cuban Journal of Hematology, Immunology and Hemotherapy (2018-2010). Formally Director and founded of Center for Transplantation and Tissue Engineering (CICEL) (2017-2012) and Deputy director for Advanced technology (2018-2017) at the Institute of Hematology, Havana, Cuba and Head of Laboratory and Advanced Technology at Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center, Abu Dhabi, UAE (Current). He has 38 years of professional experience (2022-1984), published more than 100 articles related to Immunohematology, Transplantation immunology and Cell therapy. He has guided 51 research projects during his career and instructor a master's thesis, a medical specialist and PhD.
