Senior Research Scientist
Dr. Loubna Abdel Hadi is a highly accomplished Research Scientist with a Doctoral Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Milan, Italy. With over 13 years of research experience, she has made significant contributions to various fields, honing expertise in Biochemistry, Cellular research, as well as Cancer research & therapy.
Dr. Abdel Hadi’s career began as a PhD fellow at the University of Milan, where she conducted groundbreaking research for three years before transitioning to postdoctoral fellowships as a scientific researcher at the institution for 5 years. She later served as a Visitor Research Scientist at Khalifa University, gaining valuable expertise in her field. As clinical research associate, she engaged in projects pertaining to neurobiology, experimental neurosurgery, and cellular therapy. Currently, she holds the position of Senior Clinical Research Scientist at the Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Centre, where she leads pioneering projects focusing on the application of stem cells in COVID-19 treatment and other therapeutic areas.
In addition to her research endeavours, Dr. Abdel Hadi has over 11 years of teaching experience and has supervised numerous students at various academic levels as a thesis advisor and tutor in the Italy and the UAE.
At the Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Centre, Dr. Abdel Hadi has played key administrative roles, including serving as the Secretary of the scientific committee and as a Clinical Research Member in programs such as the Abu Dhabi Bone Marrow Transplant Program and the CART-cell program. She has been instrumental in implementing international research networks and establishing educational and research programs focused on stem cell biology and applications in collaboration with Emirati Universities.
Dr. Abdel Hadi is also a valued member of the Società Italiana di Biochimica e Biologia Molecolare (SIB) and has contributed 24 publications nationwide and beyond. Her dedication to excellence in research, education, and clinical science makes her a respected figure in the scientific community.
