Dr. Sabah Zahooruddin is a senior healthcare leader with nearly two decades of experience in clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory excellence across acute hospital and advanced Cellular Therapy settings. As Chief Quality Officer, Dr. Zahooruddin directs enterprise-wide quality governance spanning quality and patient safety, infection prevention and control, occupational safety and health and Medical records.

Accreditation leadership includes FACT accreditation for the full clinical program — clinical, apheresis and blood collection, and marrow collection — together with the stem cell processing laboratory and GMP-compliant processing, positioning the organization as a regional leader in hematology and advanced cellular therapies. This is complemented by AABB accreditation for apheresis and blood collection services.

Dr. Zahooruddin has led JCI accreditation programs across both initial accreditation and reaccreditation cycles, alongside ISO-aligned quality management systems. A consistent focus is full regulatory compliance with UAE Department of Health (DOH) standards, MOHAP, and applicable federal healthcare regulations, including the implementation of DOH clinical KPIs and JAWDA quality indicators to strengthen performance monitoring and outcome reporting.

Dr. Zahooruddin holds an MSc in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
