Dr. Intaek Lee is a highly experienced general and colorectal surgeon with over 20 years of expertise in colorectal surgery. He has performed nearly 1,000 colorectal cancer surgeries as the primary surgeon and has conducted over 10,000 diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopies throughout his career.
Dr. Lee completed his general surgery residency at Asan Medical Centre in Seoul, South Korea’s largest hospital. He then pursued a colorectal surgery fellowship at Kyungpook National University Hospital, one of Korea’s leading centers for colorectal cancer care. From 2015 to 2022, he worked at Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital (SKSH) in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, first as a consultant and later as Chair of the Oncology Center, where he played a key role in advancing colorectal cancer treatment.
In 2022, Dr. Lee further specialized in robotic colorectal surgery at Kyungpook National University Chilgok Hospital, where he also served as a visiting physician and clinical professor. Now back in the UAE, he is committed to improving surgical outcomes with innovative robotic and minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Lee is an active member of several professional societies, including the Emirates Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the European Society of Coloproctology. He has published and presented widely on advanced colorectal surgery techniques and patient care.
