Dr. Maysoon Al Karam is a Healthcare Executive with a passion for improving the health care delivery that focuses on clinical quality, and overall success of patient-focused healthcare system, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of all facets of healthcare operations, and administrative procedures. Dr. Maysoon is an Ophthalmologist & Medical Retina Specialist. She has earned her MSc in Clinical Ophthalmology from the University of London (UCL), UK and Medical Retina Fellowship in Royal Free Hospital in UK, London; as well as her MBBS, Bachelor’s in Medicine from Al Ain University, UAE. She also holds her MSc in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeon in Dublin and is certified by the American Board of Medical Quality (CMQ).

Her prior positions include Operation Director for the SEHA Covid-19 Vaccine Phase III Clinical Trial Project at ADNEC, & extension trial site for SKMC as well as the Out-Patient Operation Director at SKMC, overseeing the outpatient multi-specialty clinics. Furthermore, Dr. Maysoon holds a prestigious position as a board member of The Emirates Society of Ophthalmology and has a vast medical experience of over 18 years.
