Dr. Tahir Khan is an esteemed Consultant Physician in Rheumatology who also serves as Chair of the Outpatient Department. With more than 15 years of clinical experience and dual US board certifications, he has made significant contributions to the development of rheumatology services and medical education in the UAE.

He played a pivotal role in establishing the UAE’s first Rheumatology Fellowship Program at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City and Mafraq Hospital. Dr. Khan has published in peer-reviewed journals, presented at national and international conferences, and has served as a Clinical Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at Gulf Medical University since 2013.

He specializes in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of rheumatic diseases and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while supporting excellence across outpatient clinical services.
