Dr. Ziad Hussein is a British Board certified consultant specializing in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and General Internal Medicine worked as a consultant at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals in the United Kingdom. He earned MBChB from the University of Mosul, Iraq followed by MRCP (UK) degree. He completed his advanced specialty training at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and University College London Hospitals in the United Kingdom. In 2021, he obtained his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Internal Medicine. Dr. Hussein also has the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCPE).

With over 18 years of experience, Dr. Hussein has honed a wide expertise in managing complex endocrine and general medicine cases, especially Neuroendocrinology and pituitary diseases. His primary interests include diabetes management, obesity, lipids, pituitary disorders, and late endocrine effects of cancer treatments. He is particularly focused on endocrine care for adolescents transitioning from pediatric to adult services, as well as endocrine conditions during pregnancy and lung and gastrointestinal Neuroendocrine Tumors. In addition, Dr. Hussein also specializes in thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, nodules), adrenal disorders, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. His practice extends to managing male infertility and erectile dysfunction including testosterone replacement therapy, endocrine disorders in hematologic diseases, osteoporosis, and menopause-related hormone therapy.

A committed educator, Dr. Hussein mentors specialty trainees, serves as an examiner for PLAB 2 for the General Medical Council and MRCP examiner for the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom, and contributed to endocrine research with more than 40 research projects and conference presentations.
