Dr. Carlos Valverde is a distinguished medical doctor with extensive expertise in the fields of family medicine, immunology, and oncology. He earned his medical degree from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba, in 1999, and further specialized in Family Medicine in 2002. Additionally, he completed his Immunology degrees (First and Second Degree) at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba, in 2011. Dr. Valverde holds two master’s degrees, one in Medical Education (2008) and another in Infectious Diseases (2007), showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and specialization.

Throughout his illustrious 25-year career, Dr. Valverde has held various academic positions. He served as an Associate Professor of Immunology at Havana Medical Sciences University and as an Adjunct Professor of Immunology at the Latin-American Medicine School. His commitment to education is underscored by his master’s degrees in medical education, reflecting his dedication to advancing medical knowledge and teaching methodologies. Dr. Valverde is recognized as an Associate Researcher at the National Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology of Cuba, where his expertise has contributed significantly to the field of cancer research. His career started with rural social service as a family doctor at the General Hospital Rolando Pérez Quintosa in Guantánamo from 1999 to 2000. Over the years, he expanded his professional horizons through international missions in places like Haiti and Venezuela, gaining valuable experience as both a family doctor and a professor.

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Valverde is an International Specialist in Flow Cytometry (SCYM), holding certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certification Board. This certification attests to his proficiency in advanced diagnostic techniques, further enhancing his contributions to the field of immunology and oncology. Dr. Valverde’s significant research contributions focus on cancer immunology, immunotherapies, and the immune response to various diseases. He has published research papers on topics such as lymphocyte subsets and the immune response to new pathogens in cancer patients, showcasing his dedication to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes. With his extensive academic involvement, research contributions, and 25 years of medical experience, Dr. Valverde stands as a noteworthy figure in the field of immunology and oncology.
